Family
Pyramidellidae
Pyramid
Shells
| Pyramid snails are predatory or parasitic on worms and bivalve mollusks, and
tend to be found in eutrophic
waters. They differ from Eulimids
and Rissoids in having a
heterostrophic protoconch, which is oddly rotated sideways. Most
species are small and fragile, and the group requires more study. |
