Family Eulimidae

Parasitic snails

Eulimids are white or glassy snails that derive nutrition by siphoning body fluids from various echinoderms, while Scalenostoma may feed upon hard corals.  Some species are sexually dimorphic, with some starting life as male, changing to female as they age, reflected with a change in shape and size.  Eulimids are difficult to identify and taxonomy will likely change with further study.
