BEETLE PYRAMID
| Common under rocks or rubble in harbors and outer reefs. Ovate
and glassy, protoconch almost flat, five slightly inflated whorls with
curved axial ribs reaching the base, interspaces with spiral threads, and
one tooth on the columella. Attains 0.1
inch, 2 mm. Northern Australia to Hawaii and the Society Islands. |
