Despite your best attempts to reduce backscatter during exposure, there will be times when you will want to remove or hide unsightly or distracting elements.  Tools such as Photoshop's clone/rubber stamp tool and median filter can be used alone or together.  With practice and time these tools can be employed to tackle images you would have otherwise discarded.
