| Aloha and thank you for visiting the
personal website of Keoki and Yuko Stender. We love
scuba diving, fish watching, underwater photography, plants & flowers, and sharing our discoveries of God's
creation with you. Updates are made regularly as our collection continues to
grow. |
| Our goal as marine educators/photographers
is to promote appreciation, conservation, and respect for the created earth and
it's inhabitants. We must all take an active role in preserving the
earth's resources for tomorrow. The oceans are especially vulnerable
because we don't see the result of man's ignorance unless we make an effort to
look. Here are some examples of Environmental
Damage underwater. |

| Outdoor photos on this website were taken by
Keoki & Yuko using Pentax
*ist-DL digital (6 Mp), SF-1 (SFX) and PZ-1 (Z-1) autofocus SLR's in
Ikelite
housings fitted with dual Ikelite 50 or 100 Substrobes. Lenses include a Sigma
15mm f/2.8 Fisheye, Pentax 10-17mm D-FA Fisheye Zoom, Pentax 18-55mm
D-FA Zoom, Sigma 24mm f/2.8, Pentax 50mm f/2.8 F macro, Pentax 100mm
D-FA macro, Tamron 90mm
f/2.5 SP macro stacked upon a 2x teleconverter. Fujichrome Velvia
50 is used
for macro and Provia 100 for ultra wide angle in low light.
We use a Canon F4000US film scanner.
Pentax & Canon
digital images are recorded as RAW files and converted using
Silkypix 2.0. I have created a Silkypix
tutorial for underwater photographers.
Intertidal, seaweed, and
select macro images were taken with a 4-Megapixel Casio
Exilim EX-Z40 in a Casio waterproof case.
Yuko uses a Canon G9 in
an Ikelite case, Ikelite Substrobe 51, optional 67mm threaded port,
and Epoque Wide and 2x Macro accessory lenses.
