Just wanted to say thank you for such a great site. We just came
home from Maui and one of the highlights was a snorkeling trip to
Molokini. We were able to identify all the fish in our photos from
your site (wish our photos were as good as yours!) and learn more about
them.

returned from Hawaii and did a lot of snorkeling. Your site
helped me identify a lot of the interesting fish and critters that I

| Aloha, Your photography
is super! I thank you very much for putting together such an interesting and
USEFUL site. I do fish surveys for REEF and although I have books by Hoover and
Randall, no one book has all the pictures that help make a fish ID. Your website
has been very helpful, as for example today, when I saw my first Shortnose
Wrasse (juvenile) while surveying on my adopted reef. I was discouraged because
I did not see a picture in my books that helped me ID the little fish I saw.
Then I remembered to look in your site, and there was a picture of a juvenile
Shortnose, and that was the fish! Although REEF doesn't currently do
invertebrates in Hawaii, I am personally interested in learning all I can about
all the life out on the reef and I also often refer to your invertebrate pages.
The info notes that are with the photos are quite helpful, too. So thanks again,
and I hope your site is available for a long, long time! You are doing an
invaluable public service, aiding volunteers monitoring and documenting the reef
