CAPER BUSH     Pua pilo or Maiapilo

Sprawling shrub locally common along isolated rocky coasts & lava flows but rare on Oahu.  Large fragrant flowers open at night, fading pink and wilted by mid-morning.  A threatened species due to habitat loss.  Endemic to Hawaii.
