NURSE SHARK

Rests on sandy bottom near coral heads, under ledges, mangroves, or man-made structures during the day.  Feeds at night upon large invertebrates and small fish.  Attains 14 feet.  Docile but may bite if touched.  North Carolina to the Gulf of Mexico and Brazil; Tropical West Africa.
