VERRILL'S LUMP CORAL

Rare on vertical walls and shaded locations.  Individual calices are located in shallow depressions.  Endemic to Hawaii.  This species requires more study; it may prove to be a smooth variety of Psammocora nierstraszi or a related Psammocora not officially recorded from Hawai'i.
