Rare on coarse sand in deep water.  Septa are of equal height at the outer edges.  Segments break off readily.  Attains 2 inches.  Diaseris distorta has numerous ridges twice as high as others.  Hawaii, Indo-Pacific, & Tropical Eastern Pacific.
