RADIATING CACTUS CORAL

Common on exposed reefs.  Flat or domed colonies with radiating to sinuous valleys one inch wide with a single row of polyps, coarse ridges with narrow central groove, brown, gray or green with contrasting valleys.  Red Sea to Japan and Tonga.  Formerly known as Symphyllia radians.
