HAWAIIAN ALLOCHROA
| Uncommon under stones or dark crevices in the splash
zone near freshwater seeps. Moderately stout, with 7.5 whorls and
fine spiral and axial striae, aperture narrowing slightly below, yet very
similar to Allochroa layardi. Attains 0.5 inch, 11 mm. Endemic
to Hawaii. Formerly known as Auricula sandwichiensis. |
