SPOTTED SEAHORSE
| Locally common in bays and estuaries where it
clings to rocks, seaweed, or debris. It was extremely rare in
Hawaii before the millennium.
Trapezoidal crest atop head, yellow to dark brown without elaborate
markings. Attains 7 inches.
Pakistan to Japan, Hawaii, and the Society Islands. |
