Plocamopherus maculatus
TRANSPARENT NUDIBRANCH
Rare in caverns or shaded tidepools with bushy bryozoans. Transparent or yellow with red blotches and small branched
papillae. Pair of wart-like papillae near the gills have a gland on the tip
which produces a greenish glow when disturbed. Swims through the
water to escape danger. Attains 1.5 inch. Hawaii & the
Indo-Pacific.
