Common on sandy rubble on shallow reef flats.  Attains 13 inches.  Indonesia to the Society Islands, excluding Hawaii.  Lambis truncata truncata is the Indian Ocean form, and Lambis truncata sowerbyi is a hybrid between Lambis truncata sebae and Lambis lambis.
