 BLACK-MARGIN or BLACK-LIPPED HORN

Common on algal mat of shallow reefs and tidepools.  Stout and slightly inflated, spiral dashes and prominent blunt varices, pleated subsutural band.  Attains 3/8 inch.  South Africa to Okinawa, Hawaii, and Pitcairn.  Occurs together and easily confused with Cerithium egenum.
