VERREAUX'S AUGER

Rare at scuba depths.  Fine axial ribs may be obsolete or strong, color brown.  Protoconch of 3 - 4 brown whorls.  Attains 2 inches.  Dark form of Hastula strigilata.  Hawaii & the Indo-West Pacific.
