Abundant on hard surfaces exposed to strong current.  Cirri are reddish.  Up to 4 inches.  Alaska to San Diego.

Abundant on hard surfaces in the intertidal zone exposed to wave action.  Up to 4 inches tall.  Alaska to Baja California.
