  SHORTNOSED WRASSE

Fairly common on reefs at scuba depths.  Tiny juveniles with semi-transparent fins resemble drifting seaweed.  Females are orange, males brown, with rows of bright blue dots.  Attains 4 inches.  Endemic to Hawai�i.  Formerly confused with the Indo-Pacific Macropharyngon meleagris.
