BLACKTAIL SNAPPER to‘au Oki-fuedai
|
Fairly common in murky bays and harbors. Introduced to
Hawai‘i from Mo‘orea in 1956 with the intent of supplementing stocks
of edible reef fish. Fortunately this species has not been found
to displace native species as is the case with the Bluestripe
Snapper. Attains 16 inches. Indo-Pacific. |
