 PALE-SPOTTED SOAPFISH

Very common but rarely seen at night within rubble, dead finger coral, or small crevices.  Easily identified by a large dark spot on the gill cover.  Attains 3.5 inches.  Mauritius to Hawaii and French Polynesia.
