YELLOWTAIL FILEFISH     ‘ō‘ili

A shy species uncommon on current-swept reefs or rubble at scuba depths.  Gray fading to orange peppered with tiny black dots.  Attains 5 inches.  Mauritius to Okinawa, Hawai‘i, and the Line Islands.
