A common
nocturnal species that lives in a wide variety of habitats. It is
an aggressive, unpredictable moray that will attack without
provocation. Tapering dark green head with curved jaws, body
purplish-brown marbled with white. Attains 59 inches. Red
Sea to Japan, Hawai'i, Costa Rica, and Panama.
