Occurs in small groups among branching coral in clear water.  Gray with black tips on dorsal spines, caudal fin, and leading edge of anal fin.  Attains 3.25 inches.  Red Sea to Okinawa, east to Fiji.  Formely known as Chromis lepidolepis.
