THOMPSON'S BUTTERFLYFISH

Uncommon in mixed species aggregations above deep reefs and walls exposed to strong current to 1000 feet.  Feeds upon zooplankton.  Attains 8 inches.  Spotty distribution includes Hawaii, Johnston Is., Line Is., Ogasawara, Samoa, Marianas, Tuamotus.
