Uncommon among Finger Coral or rubble at scuba depths only around the island of Hawai�i and fairly common elsewhere in the Tropical Pacific.  Red with irregular black bars, Hawaiian fish have comparatively little orange or yellow ahead of the caudal peduncle.  An herbivorous species popular with aquarists.  Attains 4 inches.  Hawai�i and the Tropical Pacific.
