FLAME ANGELFISH

Uncommon from Kauai to Maui among Finger Coral or rubble deeper than 25 feet, more numerous around the island of Hawai'i, and fairly common elsewhere in the Tropical Pacific.  Red with irregular black bars, Hawaiian fish have comparatively little orange or yellow ahead of the caudal peduncle.  An herbivorous species popular with aquarists.  Attains 4 inches.  Indonesia east to Hawai'i and French Polynesia.
