Acropora nana

Tafananai, Tutuila, American Samoa, 3 feet


Locally common in shallow water exposed to wave action.  Small fragile hemispheres of long straight branches, long tubular radial corallites fused to branch.  Cream or bluish-purple, often with purple tips.  Indo-Pacific excluding Hawaii.
