GRAIN ACROPORA

Common on shallow reefs.  Hemispherical with interlocking branches.  Axial corallites short and tubular, radial corallites increasing in length toward branch tips, held closely below to rasp-like, cream or brown, often with purple tips.  Indo-Pacific, uncommon in the Central NWHI.
