BRANCHING HORN CORAL

Locally common in lagoons where it may form large thickets.  Fragile angular branches with cones aligned as ridges and raised keels fusing at branch tips, white or blue-green with reddish-brown tentacles extended during the day.  East Africa to Okinawa and Melanesia.
