SMOOTH FINGER CORAL

Common in shallow lagoons and channels.  Forms hemispheres of smooth branches, calices shallow and flush with the surface.  Light brown, yellowish-green or gray.  Indo-Pacific, East Africa to Samoa.  Replaced in Hawaii by the endemic Porites compressa.
