Common on reef slopes.  Encrusting plates, massive, or columnar with widely-spaced calices with a distinct columella and smooth septo-costae, calices often in rows parallel to the colony margin.  Color variable.  Indo-Pacific & the Tropical Eastern Pacific, excluding Hawaii.
