GEMMA'S CORAL

Uncommon on reef slopes in quiet water.  Forms large encrusting sheets and columns, polyp centers visible as small dots on valley floors, ridges tend to form a chain-link pattern, light gray or brown with white margins.  Best descibed as an intermediate form between Pachyseris rugosa and Pachyseris speciosa.  Similan Islands to Okinawa, Palau, and Samoa.
