MONGI'S BUBBLE

Dead shells are common in sediment but living animals rarely seen on reefs from 40 to 80 feet.  Shell cylindrical and glassy with evenly spaced spiral striae along the entire length, animal white with purple & orange spots.  The shell attains 0.2 inch, 5 mm.  Andaman Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and the Society Islands.  Formerly known as Atys curta and Haminoea curta
