TRUMPET TUBE SHELL

Uncommon in soft sediment deeper than 100 feet, or in beach drift.  Glassy and curved in opposing planes, with a prominent protoconch, and fine annular growth lines.    Attains 0.1 inch, 3 mm.  Endemic to Hawaii.
