VERTEBRAL TUBE SHELL

Uncommon in soft sediment deeper than 100 feet, or in beach drift.  Light brown with 25-36 equally-spaced rounded ribs, fading white in beach drift.  Attains 0.1 inch, 3 mm.  Red Sea to Okinawa, Hawaii, and the Tuamotus.
