SEPARATED TUBE SHELL
| Common in algal mat and soft sediment at any depth. Slightly
keeled ribs with
interspaces of equal diameter, glassy with brown blotches. Juveniles
are tapering, with ribs of progressive size, formely known as Caecum
arcuatum. Attains
0.1 inch, 3 mm. Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and the Society Islands. |
