RED-BANDED TURBAN

Common among red algae under stones in shallow water.  Spiral keels lacking granules, keels and grooves red and white or entirely red.  Attains 0.1 inch, 2 mm.  Philippines, Bonin Islands, Wake, Marshall Islands, and Hawaii.  Formerly known as Leptothyra rubricincta.
