FLESH-MOUTHED TRITON
| Rare in Hawaii deeper than 100 feet, and uncommon elsewhere at any
depth, in sand, rubble, or under rocks. Orange-brown with wihite on
varices, aperture flesh colored. Attains 4 inches, 103mm. East Africa to
the Philippines, New Caledonia, and Hawaii. Formerly
known as Cymatium sarcostomum. |
