PEAR TRITON
| Rare in Hawaii deeper than 70 feet, and fairly common elsewhere at any
depth, in sand, under rocks, or rubble. Robust, orange, some with
white on varices, aperture pale or white. Attains 5 inches, 130mm. Red Sea to Japan,
Hawaii, and the Society Islands. Formerly
known as Cymatium pyrum. |
