PEAR-SHAPED or WHITE MOON SNAIL
| Uncommon in sand at any depth. Shell relatively light, umbilicus
filled, operculum
transparent brown. An extended animal is much larger than the shell. Attains 2.7 inches,
68 mm.
Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and the Tuamotus.
