LETTERED MITER

Common in sand and algal mat on shallow reefs.  Feeds upon sipunculid worms.  Attains 1.4 inches, 35 mm.  Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and the Tuamotus.  Formerly known as Mitra (Strigatella) litterata.
