| Common in sand and algal mat on shallow reefs.
Stout, with spiral grooves, dark brown with a yellow peripheral band and
white flecks. Feeds upon small mollusks. Attains
1 inch, 25 mm. East Africa to Japan, Hawaii, and French Polynesia.
