LEAFY HOOF SHELL

Uncommon under rocks in shallow water.  White with apex near the periphery and concentric lamellae underlaid by fine axial threads or flat ribs.  Attains 0.8 inch, 20mm.  East Africa to New Zealand, Hawaii and French Polynesia.  Formerly known as Hipponix foliaceus.
