Coralliophila bulbiformis

SCALY CORAL-LOVING SHELL

Uncommon on live corals at any depth.  Rounded axial ribs with spiral sculpture of overlapping scales often encrusted by coralline algae, aperture lilac.  Preys upon coral but is free-living.  Attains 2 inches.  Very similar to Coralliophila elaborata.  Reported as Coralliophila erosa in Kay, 1979.
