MORELET'S CONE

Common on reefs from 15 to
60 feet. Smooth, slender olive green shell without distinct
mid-body spiral or granules. Spire is low and bumpy. Attains 2 inches.
Animal reddish brown with distinctive orange,
yellow, and black markings. Sometimes confused with the much heavier Conus
lividus. Hawaii & the Indo-Pacific. |
