IMPERIAL CONE  

Fairly common on reefs at any depth.  A distinctive pattern on a heavy shell, juveniles are mostly gray with a few spiral dashes and brown blotches, the animal is red.  Attains 4.3 inches,110 mm.  Red Sea to Okinawa, Hawaii, and French Polynesia.
