CROWN CONE

| Very rare in Hawaii in sand on
shallow reefs, but common elsewhere. Gray with irregular spirals of
black and white dashes, not round dots, and scattered brown blotches. Attains 1.9
inches, 47 mm. Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and French Polynesia. |
