STRIATED DOVE SHELL

Uncommon under stones at any depth.  Strong ribs crossed by spiral keels, color pattern variable, protoconch white.  Attains 0.4 inch, 9 mm.  East Timor to Hawaii and the Society Islands.  Formerly known within Family Buccinidae as Caducifer nebulosa.
