Common under stones at any depth.  Color variable, protoconch white.  Attains 0.4 inch, 10 mm.  Philippines to Japan, New Caledonia, Hawaii and the Society Islands.  Formerly known as Mitrella margarita.  Used in Ni'ihau shell lei.
