SWAINSON'S AUGER

Uncommon at scuba depths.  Matte brown with strong curved ribs, subsutural band of deep punctures, fine spiral threads between ribs.  Attains 1 inch.   South Africa to Hawaii and French Polynesia.  Formerly known as Hastula swainsonii.
